South Australia’s most successful Basketball Strength and Conditioning program. Ranging from injury prevention to explosive power we transform the body to be ready to tackle task, at any level while building the ‘ALPHA’ mentality towards and goal.
HOW IT STARTED?
Created many years ago as a PT but only just branded recently as ALPHALETIC PERFORMANCE. As a former State level Basketballer and Cricketer and then a SA Champ Natural bodybuilder performing at a high level and getting results was the not only the expectation it is also the standard.

WHAT WE DO…
At ALPHALETIC PERFORMANCE we are building a team of Elite level Trainers so you know you can be the ‘ALPHA’ in your sport and dominant in your sport. Our philosophy is to train/practice hard to make the game easy. We stick to what works, what is science based but also things that over 15 years of Professional training experience has worked across different athletes at different times.
I have worked with the Adelaide 36ers (currently running their High Performance School Strength and Conditioning), worked with schools like Trinity College, Rostrevor College, Pulteney Grammar, Sacred Heart, St Pauls College, Woodville High School and Mercedes College.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING HEALTHY..(Rehabilitation)
“Incoveneince or Opportunity”
Sometimes getting injured or having set backs can be frustrating but if gives us a chance to learn what needs to get better. We now have the opportunity to work on a weakness or imbalance to improve you as an overall athlete.
Rehabilitation or Pre-habilitation are also important for explosive athlete power. We need to move well first, then it needs to be strong so then we can add speed and power. During my time with the Adelaide 36ers, through communication and planning i achieved the 92% availability which is the highest it has ever seen! Side note: we were also the team that beat the Phoenix Suns, the NBL team to beat an NBA team ever. What an experience that was!

RUN FASTER, JUMPER HIGHER AND BE STRONGER…(Explosive power and Speed)
“If you have a Toyota engine in a Ferrari, it’s not going to be as fast as a Ferrari”
Our health and strength is our engine we need them before we even think about being fast and explosive. Sometimes you can get away with it for a short amount of time but as you keep pushing you will get more fatigued or sorer than you need to be and tip toe the line of getting injured. As we create strength and add speed and power, we still look after the little things with Prehab movements so we can keep building. Good things take time, if we get hurt time stops or puts us back that’s why in season training is AS important as off season training. During my time with the Adelaide 36ers, the team got stronger during the season! As they trained hard, we did recover/rehab/prehab and kept up major strength movements. During the down days we still worked, there is always something that can be done! But the main thing with this is builds a work ethic and resilience mentality. Using the 36ers as an example again the lifting culture wasn’t there when I started but as they got used to it my focus became their focus and an optional training days or days off i always have athletes in the gym.

WHO I HAVE WORKED WITH…
Working with the 36ers I have had the opportunity to work with some great players like Daniel Johnston, Mitch McCarron, Jacob Wiley, Antonius Cleveland, Ian Clark and many more. Prior to this i was working with the 36er players privately who needed a little more out of their training. They would do their generic strength movements in the morning, go to practice and then would come see me after to work on either mobility or recovery or other minor strength movements need to better them as an athlete. I always built the mentality to be ready to play, so whether it was a player not getting much minutes or a development player not playing we focused on getting better in one way or another.
Privately my client lists is very long but includes Jack Mcveigh, Sunday Dech, Lat Mayern, Anthony Drmic, Nathan Sobey, Nick Marshall, Jack Purchase, Mojave King and more.
